2nd Annual Yoga In The Mountains Retreat

Capture the true essence of rebirth and renewal at our 2nd Annual Yoga In The Mountains Retreat May 3-4, 2014. This year will take us to a beautiful hidden gem tucked away at the foot of Maple Mountain located in Mapleton, UT. Come deepen your experience and live your practice to truly rejuvenate the mind, body, and spirit.

We all crave time to slow things down, turn off the monkey brain, and find respite from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Yoga In The Mountains Retreat is a weekend escape to discover sattva – a Sanskrit word describing a state of harmony, balance, joy, and intelligence that radiates from the inside out.

We are privileged this year to have Phillip McLemore teach our meditation workshops. Phil is a popular instructor at meditation retreats and seminars and has written numerous articles on meditation and spiritual awakening. He is an expert in ancient and modern forms of meditation and contemplative prayer. Attendees will also enjoy daily yoga practices including vinyasa flow, restorative, heated modified Primary series, slackline yoga, henna art, silent walking meditation, and plenty of free time for hiking, journaling, and personal meditation.

At 18,000 square feet with 10 acres of surrounding private property, The Retreat is a beautiful and idyllic setting for a weekend yoga and meditation getaway.  Located just 15 minutes from downtown Provo, UT, the estate offers private access to Forest Service mountain trails (great area for biking too), native wildlife, and many indoor and outdoor amenities.

All attendees will have complimentary use of the following:

Tennis court with outdoor lighting
Sauna in master suite

Accommodations include 10 bedrooms with enough beds to sleep up to 60 guests, 7 full and 3 half bathrooms. Attendees can choose to have a private or shared room. A delicious  gourmet dinner and light breakfast with vegan options will be prepared in the spacious full kitchen.


Day 1

9:30 am      Check in at Mapleton City building
10 am         Meditation workshop with Phil Mclemore
2 pm           Get settled in at The Retreat
4 pm           Heated modified Primary Series
5:30 pm      Dinner
7 pm           Guided meditation or silent walking meditation
8:30 pm      Restorative yoga

**We’ll have drinks and light snacks. Please feel free to bring additional items for lunch and snacks. There will be plenty of space in the refrigerator and kitchen.

Day 2

7 am            Guided meditation
7:30 am       Pranayama and sun salutations
8:30  am      Light breakfast
1 pm           Slackline yoga or Craniosacral therapy session
2 pm           Silent walking meditation or Craniosacral therapy session
4 pm           Vinyasa flow or Craniosacral therapy session
6 pm           Dinner
7 pm           Music, discussion, closing circle
8 pm           Check out
